1 Am I required by law ? The Electoral Register on Tue Aug 26, 2008 10:29 pm

Here is a question that has been niggling me!
If I do not wish to take part in Jury service or vote nor have any interest in credit reference agencies to check my name and address and quote:
"Other purposes set out in law"
It specificaly states "by law,you must give us the infomation we ask for on this form"

As far as I am aware "Must" means "May" in blacks law dictionary.

To be more specific..Is it stating that should I desire to vote I may "register" but otherwise I am not ?

But I thought I had a lawful right to vote ?

Also it states:

For each person, you need to include the following:

Their name(surname, first name and middle initials) I have a family name not a surname?

Their nationality:this will usually be shown on their passport.

Whether they will be 70 or over on Oct 2008. If so they will not have to take part in Jury service.

Whether they want their name shown on the edited register.

Whether they want to vote by post.

Could I not just ask them to prove I am a" person" and not a human being and as such .....I am not required to register?

I am looking at it like the IRS tax system....Am I required to file or register affraid

Usually I just ask the chap who visits to show me the Law before I give any infomation out...we both want to be Lawful right lol!
He can't show me anything let alone tell me what act etc so I tell him when He shows me were it says I am obligated then I will do it.

Never see them again Laughing
